Skara Stadshotell is a gem among the hotel offerings in Skaraborg. The hotel features 67 rooms where every interior detail has been carefully selected, and most rooms are architect-designed. In the restaurant, where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and à la carte dining, the chefs have a great passion for local cuisine. For those seeking a delicious coffee break, there is a café offering homemade treats. For guests who wish to stay active during their stay, there is a modern gym in a living room style. When it comes to celebrations with a golden touch, Skara Stadshotell is the obvious choice. With a banquet hall accommodating 150 people and catering from the restaurant, it becomes a celebration you won't soon forget. The hotel also includes a conference hall with seating for 475 people, perfect for concerts, shows, and much more.

Your responsibilities
In the role of Sous Chef, you create not only delicious meals together with your kitchen colleagues, but you also have fun and bring your true selves to work. You are highly involved in creating an environment where both staff and guests thrive.
Your main responsibilities:
- Responsible for the evening operations in our restaurant.
- Involved in planning larger events and executing them.
- Actively working with kitchen economics, smart purchasing, and cost control.
- Developing the restaurant forward together with the Head Chef and your team, and continuously developing employees and the kitchen.
In this role, you get to be creative and work with the details that bring the hotel and the surrounding area together on a plate. Our ambition is to work as locally as possible with producers for both food and drink and to cherish the creativity found in the kitchen.
A common goal is that we should be where the guest is to provide the service our guests remember and want to return for. This requires high engagement from everyone working at the hotel.
Worth knowing
The position is a permanent full-time employment with a 6-month probation period.
Working hours are primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will work according to a schedule starting as agreed.
Skara Stadshotell has a collective agreement with Unionen and HRF.
Your employment begins with an introduction. This gives you the opportunity to learn everything you need to know to perform your work correctly and efficiently.

To work as a Sous Chef with us, you need:
- Education relevant to the position.
- Previous work experience as a Sous Chef or similar.
- Good knowledge of Swedish.
- Ability to work in a structured and organized manner.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a high tempo.
- Experience working in a varied environment where challenges are seen as opportunities.
You value your treatment of guests and colleagues highly, which means you have good communication skills, enjoy taking responsibility, are self-reliant in your work, and are not afraid to step in where needed most. You have an eye for detail and delivering with extra care is in your nature.
