Skara Stadshotell is a gem among the hotel offerings in the Skaraborg region. The hotel features 67 rooms where every interior detail has been carefully selected, and most of the rooms are architect-designed. In the restaurant, where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and à la carte dining, the chefs have a great passion for local cuisine. With a banquet hall seating 150 guests and catering from the restaurant, it becomes a celebration you won't soon forget. The hotel also includes a congress hall with seating for 475 people, capable of hosting concerts, shows, and much more.

We are now looking for a Receptionist, Night Shift.

As a Receptionist, you are the center point and the hub that holds the hotel's departments together, contributing to guests having a great time with us. The receptionist knows what is happening in the house, locally in the surrounding area, has good knowledge of opening hours, menus, offers, as well as events, and can therefore respond to guests' questions and requests in the best possible way.

Your Responsibilities
In the role of receptionist, you work together with colleagues to create an environment where both staff and guests thrive.
Your main tasks:
- Responsible for check-in and check-out
- Handle new and existing bookings via email, phone, and website
- Cash handling in the form of invoicing and card payments
- Ensure our conferences run smoothly
- Ensure the cleanliness of the reception and lobby
A common goal is that we should be where the guest is to provide the service our guests remember and want to return for. This requires high engagement from everyone working at the hotel. At the hotel, we also help each other between departments when needed.
Worth Knowing
The position is a fixed-term assignment from September 1 to November 30, 2026.
Working hours are weekdays 22:00–07:00 and weekends 22:15–07:15.
Our Expectations
To work as a receptionist/hotel employee, you need:
- Good communication skills in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English
- Good computer and system proficiency
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be good at noticing details
- Dare to experiment to achieve the best results
- Work well in a team while taking significant personal responsibility for your tasks and for solving any problems that arise
- Have a very high sense of service
- Enjoy following routines and checklists
- You have the ability to deliver at a high pace when the hotel is busy, as well as being productive during quieter periods
- We would appreciate if you have previous experience in the service industry.
