We are now looking for a casual staff member for our entire meal service!

Sötåsen has a school restaurant that serves approximately 200 lunches per day. Many of our students live in the school's boarding house and are therefore also served breakfast and dinner. The school restaurant also includes our café sales for morning and afternoon fika (coffee breaks). The school kitchen is KRAV-certified, and we work purposefully to create climate-adapted meals. The goal is to serve appealing, nutritious, and sustainable meals prepared from scratch with a large proportion of self-produced food from the school farm.

Responsibilities

The duties are located in the school restaurant, involving standard tasks such as preparing and serving school meals, dishwashing, cleaning, and self-control checks. You will be involved in all tasks occurring within the work team. As a casual staff member, you work on call when we have absences in the work team or need extra staffing.

Qualifications

We would prefer that you have upper secondary education in restaurant and large-scale catering/food service, as well as experience from the profession.

We are looking for an engaged, goal- and service-oriented person who enjoys working in a team. You have good cooperation skills and thrive working in a team. You are highly flexible and enjoy solving tasks together with others in a team. You also have a good ability to take the initiative to solve problems that may arise. You have a high sense of service with the guest in focus, enjoy meeting people, and have the desire to contribute to the development of the work team and operations.

You have an interest in working with young people and want to contribute to everyone thriving and feeling well at school. Our goal is to support students in their learning by contributing to healthy eating habits. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Conditions

Casual employment, on-call as needed, with start date from August 10th. Working hours are scheduled during day and evening times.
