Backatorpsskolan is a popular and non-profit independent school located in a beautiful natural area on Hisingen. The school has high demand and currently has 340 students from preschool class to grade six.

Our after-school center (fritidshem) welcomes approximately 170 children and offers a safe environment with stimulating and varied activities.

The school is run by a highly experienced and dedicated staff of 55 educators who, under the leadership of the principal, continuously develop the operations and work to provide every student with the best possible conditions.

Special education teachers and after-school educators also work within each teaching team. Additionally, the school has a full-time librarian and outdoor educator.

We are looking for you who are a certified after-school teacher (fritidslärare) or after-school educator (fritidspedagog). You are a stable and secure person with good self-awareness. You communicate clearly and find it easy to collaborate with both students and colleagues. Your planning is characterized by structure, efficiency, and a clear focus on the student.

We place great importance on personal suitability. You have the ability to lead and organize the operations so that a safe and inclusive learning environment is created, based on mutual respect and collaboration. You can assess and adapt your teaching based on the effect of different strategies and involve students in the planning to strengthen their ability to learn.

We are looking for someone who can work full-time and who:

• sees the competent child and is engaged in pedagogical development work
• focuses on students succeeding based on the goals of the curriculum
• is solution-oriented and sees opportunities rather than obstacles
• is clear, goal-oriented, and values good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• is positive and has very good collaboration skills
• likes to use ICT as a natural support in teaching
