Karl Johansskolan is located in the heart of Majorna, just a stone's throw from the Kaptensgatan bus stop. In the nearly 100-year-old school building, designed by Gunnar Asplund, 650 students from preschool class to grade 6 study today. There is an after-school center for children in preschool class and grades 1–4. The school has a high level of well-being, with many staff members having worked at the school for a long time and, together with younger pedagogues, actively driving the school's operations forward.

Pedagogues and other staff collaborate around the students to ensure they feel safe and have several adults they can turn to. Special educational support is linked to all teaching teams. We work together to promote students' learning, social development, and well-being.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a music teacher for the intermediate school (grades 4–6). Teaching is conducted in half-classes. The position is a temporary assignment during the autumn term 2026 (HT26) with a possible extension during the spring term 2027 (VT27).

Together with your colleagues, you will drive the pedagogical development of the students throughout the school day. You will plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate the activities in accordance with current regulatory documents and the school's goals.

In your role, you also have "ceremonial responsibility," which means you have additional responsibility during school closures and ceremonies.

Qualifications

Formal Competencies:

We are looking for you who are a certified music teacher for grades 4–6.
