At Sylte School, we work based on a common holistic view, value base, and approach to ensure strong leadership in the classrooms. Clear routines and adaptation of teaching are our guiding stars. We see diversity as an asset and inclusion as a given. In our operations and teaching groups, we teach students based on different curricula. Our ambition is to constantly develop ourselves and our operations with the goal of increasing students' achievement, both academically and socially. All students should be given the opportunity to develop as much as possible!

At the adapted primary school, we have students studying both subjects and subject areas. The school also offers after-school activities and short-term supervision. The student's entire school day is important for creating security, a sense of coherence, and a meaningful leisure time.

Our organization is growing, and therefore we are looking for a position for teaching in both subject areas and subjects grades 1-6.

You have:

  • Experience in meeting students with neuropsychiatric disabilities and a low-affective approach.
  • Experience working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
  • You are as flexible in changing teaching according to needs as you are ready to meet a diversity of students.
  • You are well-versed in working in teams together with other teachers, student support staff, and the student health team.

What you can expect from the position:

  • You will come to a school where the student is at the center.
  • Work with a principal who is genuinely interested in special pedagogy.
