Do you want to use your pedagogical competence to empower people in their daily lives? Then you are our new support pedagogue for residential support!
Who are we?
Residential support is a service that provides support in users' homes for individuals with mental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and/or substance abuse issues.
Our work is characterized by a clear rehabilitative approach where participation, personal development, and increased independence are always in focus.
Through motivational work, guidance, and practical support, we create conditions for the user to handle their daily life as much as possible and achieve a functional social existence.
The interventions are designed individually and are based on each person's implementation plan as well as the municipality's goals and guidelines.
Your responsibilities
As a support pedagogue with us, you play a central role in developing both the operations and your colleagues.
In your daily work, you are present with the users and work together with support assistants to provide individually adapted support based on the implementation plans.
You motivate and support the users and create good conditions for participation and independence.
As a support pedagogue, you work on developing, implementing, and following up on work methods and routines.
You work on the team's competence development through supervision and collaborate with various interventions to create a holistic view and cohesive support.
From an allergy perspective, it is good to know that in the ordinary residences you visit, there may be fur-bearing animals and smoking.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are educated as a support pedagogue, occupational therapist, have pedagogical education, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
You have experience working with people who need support in their daily lives. We would appreciate it if you have knowledge of working with people who have a mental disability where some substance abuse issues may also occur.
If you have experience supervising others, we see it as an asset. We view it positively if you have worked with or have knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, low-affective approach, independent living (ESL), and motivational interviewing (MI).
As a person, we see that you are skilled at planning work, both long-term and short-term. Implementing changes and development work is one of your strengths, and you strive to achieve set goals.
You are secure and flexible, able to adjust your workday when situations require it. You adapt your communication according to the recipient and situation, and it is natural for you to collaborate well with both colleagues and users.
You are inclusive and coaching in your way of working, and you contribute to a climate where people lift each other and share knowledge and experiences.
A B-driver's license is desirable, primarily for manual transmission.
You can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, both from a user perspective and from the authority contacts you will have.
Welcome with your application!
