At Brottkärrsskolan, we are currently looking for two certified teachers for the after-school program (fritidshem). One position is permanent, and the other is a temporary assignment for the 2026/2027 school year. In your application, you will have the opportunity to specify which position you are interested in.

Brottkärrsskolan F–6 is a pleasant school located in the scenic area of Nya Hovås. Built in 2011, the school currently has approximately 290 students. The school and its attached after-school program feature spacious and beautiful facilities that invite play, sports, and activities in our library. A defining characteristic of the school and our students is our high level of goal achievement, which we are very proud of. We owe this to our dedicated and professional staff, as well as our students and guardians.

Responsibilities

As a teacher in the after-school program, your primary work will be at the after-school center, where you lead and stimulate students in their learning and personal development in a constructive and inspiring manner, based on their individual prerequisites. You will plan, implement, and follow up on after-school activities together with your colleagues in the work team.

Permanent Position

• Your main responsibility is work in the after-school program
• During the school day, you are attached to a class in lower or middle primary school
• The role is full-time and permanent
• Start date: August 3, 2026, or as agreed

Temporary Position

• Your main responsibility is work in the after-school program
• During the school day, you work in a preschool class
• The role is full-time and fixed-term for the 2026/2027 school year
• Start date: August 10, 2026, or as agreed

To ensure that newly graduated teachers get the best possible start in their profession, you will participate in Gothenburg Municipal School Administration's introduction program for new teachers. This introduction provides you with a network of other new graduates and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in the after-school program. Previous experience working as a teacher in the after-school program is an advantage.

As a person, you are calm and stable, and have the ability to create a safe environment for all students. You are driven by collaboration with others and are skilled at building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Your creativity is contagious, creating engagement and motivating learning. You are eager to contribute ideas and new perspectives to continuously drive the operations forward.

You have the ability to maintain both safety and study quietness inside and outside of school. You use a variety of methods to include all students and are willing to try and constantly reassess your methodology to meet the needs of the group your team is responsible for. Furthermore, you are curious about and willing to work based on the operational concept that has been developed, and are willing to continue developing it together with us.
