Mimers Hus Gymnasium was inaugurated in 2004 and is an attractive upper secondary school located in central Kungälv. We also have branches for the Construction and Civil Engineering program and the Vehicle and Transport program/Transport orientation in the Rollsbo industrial area. Currently, there are approximately 1,600 students attending the school, distributed across twelve national programs, including vocational, preparatory, and introductory programs. Approximately 180 staff members work at the school, characterized by great commitment and high competence. Our goal and focus is that everyone should succeed. The school offers, among other things, sports profiles within all programs and UF (Young Enterprise) in several.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a certified teacher in Swedish and Religion (or alternatively another subject) to teach primarily on the vocational programs Construction and Civil Engineering, Electricity and Energy, and Vehicle and Transport at Mimers Hus Gymnasium.

The position includes planning, conducting, and evaluating teaching on one or more of the aforementioned programs. In your role as a teacher, you create a safe and developmental learning environment through your engagement and curiosity. You have clear but attentive leadership in the classroom and create a learning situation through relationship and dialogue that is based on the students' individual prerequisites for learning. You vary your teaching, work formatively, and use clear and concrete goals to make student learning visible. Collaboration across subject boundaries is seen as natural.

The position also includes mentorship responsibility for a group of students, and you are responsible for the students' school situation based on this mentorship. You conduct development meetings, collaborate internally and externally, and have a coaching approach.

As a colleague in one of the program's work teams, you are active and involved in the joint work regarding the students. As a participant in the work team, you initiate and drive issues together with your team regarding the development of the program's structures and teaching. You see collegial work as a way to develop work inside and outside the classroom with the aim of creating the best possible learning situation for the students on the program.

Qualifications

• You are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach Swedish and Religion at the upper secondary level.
• You have the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, external partners, and colleagues.
• You have the ability to meet students in complex learning situations and have clear leadership in the classroom. You are experienced in working with adaptations and alternative learning tools and have the ability to focus on students' strengths and build upon them.
• You have experience and interest in school development and collegial learning. You see collaboration and cooperation as natural starting points in the work with students but are also experienced in working independently.
