Praktikertjänst Health Centre in Fagersta is now looking for additional colleagues. The health centre has been operated by Praktikertjänst AB since December 1, 2022. The health centre has 10,300 registered patients. We have good relations with the municipal home care services as well as other regional operations.

The staff consists solely of permanently employed specialists in general medicine, distributed among 7 experienced colleagues equivalent to 5.0 full-time positions, and 3 Specialty Training (ST) doctors in general medicine. Additionally, there are Intern Doctors (AT) and regularly returning medical students.

We place great emphasis on well-being and the further development of current operations. The health centre is not located adjacent to any emergency department, which implies close cooperation with the ambulance service in Fagersta. Due to the distance from emergency departments, the general medical role becomes somewhat broader, offering increased learning opportunities and greater variety.

Job Responsibilities

The work involves standard outpatient duties at a health centre with a broad scope within general medicine. You will work as an Associate Specialist (Underläkare) with your own clinic, handle patients independently with regular support from a supervisor, and participate in the ongoing teamwork at the unit.

All different professional perspectives are needed in a workplace – at our centre, we have clear perspectives, including a teaching perspective.

Learning for younger colleagues is a central part of our operations. We hold two standing doctor meetings per week, and all specialists in general medicine have supervision competencies.

We believe that engagement is important and that the workplace should be a safe environment where group work with clear roles is the focus. The position offers good conditions for continued development and the opportunity to pursue Specialty Training (ST) in general medicine.
