to apply for the job

Do you want to make a real difference for patients with heart disease? At the Cardiac Department, you will meet a close-knit team, daily development, and a culture where we help each other and enjoy our work.

Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, you are an important part of the team surrounding the patient. You provide secure basic care and support patients and their relatives throughout the entire care process. The work includes taking ECGs and participating in telemetry monitoring according to routine. You perform blood sampling and patient-near analyses, prepare for and assist with examinations and treatments, and ensure that materials and equipment are in place.

You document in Cosmic according to current guidelines and collaborate closely with nurses, doctors, and physiotherapists in daily work. The introduction is adapted to your experience, and you receive internal training in ECG and cardiac care.

About the Workplace

The Cardiac Section consists of five units: the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (HIA), the Cardiac Ward, Cardiac Day Care, the PCI Lab, and the Cardiac Clinic.

We have a strong focus on quality and development, and we are proud to be ranked among the best in the country for myocardial infarction care. Our culture is built on respect, responsibility, and collaboration – and on supporting each other, laughing together, and taking joint responsibility for our patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant. It is meritorious if you have experience in the profession, preferably from cardiac care. Experience from emergency care is also meritorious. If you have worked in the medical record system Cosmic, we also see this as meritorious for the position. Since you need to be able to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues in the role, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. Other language skills are meritorious.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. A workday with us can change quickly, and you need to be able to adapt in challenging situations while maintaining your calm and focus. Teamwork is crucial for patient safety, which requires that you have good cooperation skills. You work close to the patient and are empathetic and responsive in your approach. There is much to learn here, so being curious is good, and always daring to ask if you are unsure.

For us, it is important that you feel well and enjoy your job, therefore we offer you

  • a tailored introduction program to make you feel secure and confident in your professional role
  • opportunities for competence development through, for example, internal training
  • a workplace for all stages of life, with the possibility of flexible working hours within certain frameworks
  • free training at our fully equipped gym
  • health allowance of 3000 SEK/year
