Job Responsibilities

Here with us in Västerås, you will find the Children's Clinic's large specialist outpatient clinic, and you can expect an exciting and eventful job. We are a large workplace where many patients and employees pass through every day. Our operations are both planned and include some readiness for "acute" situations.

You are welcomed to a broad outpatient activity with varying tasks where you work closely with other specialist nurses. The main placement will be at the general outpatient clinic, but work will also take place at other specialist clinics at the children's clinic.

 

About the Workplace

The Children's and Adolescents' Clinic offers specialist healthcare to the approx. 52,000 children and young people aged 0–18 who live in Västmanland County. The clinic's outpatient care consists of outpatient clinics in Västerås, Sala, Fagersta, and Köping, as well as day care. Inpatient care includes Children's Ward 64 and the emergency clinic, as well as Ward 69, which is a neonatal ward. At the clinic, there are several paramedical professions working in both outpatient and inpatient care.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a specialist nurse degree with a focus on health and social care for children and young people. It is a great advantage if you have experience from outpatient work and good familiarity with administrative tasks. The position also requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good computer skills.

Since the role with us involves independent work tasks, it is important that you are structured, can plan, and drive your work forward. Being able to prioritize in unexpected situations and adapt to new circumstances are seen as important qualities in you.

You are secure and stable in your professional role, can make the right assessments, and relate in a way that is adapted to the situation. Furthermore, we see that you work well with other people and meet patients, relatives, and colleagues in a listening and smooth manner. You have a good ability to communicate and can reach out with your message to different types of individuals with different prerequisites and needs.

Terms of Employment

Permanent position. Full time, daytime. Commencement upon agreement.
