Medical Secretary – Summer Temporary Position with Possibility of Extension

About Us

You will belong to the healthcare administrative unit within Medical Specialties. The operational area covers six clinics: Danderyd Geriatrics, Specialist Medicine, Nephrology, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, and Dermatology.

We are 24 medical secretaries working with both outpatient and inpatient care. We have a strong team spirit and close collaboration across clinic boundaries, where we support each other and have a considerate and engaged work environment.

About the Position

As a medical secretary, you are an important part of the operation to ensure that healthcare administration functions efficiently.

We are looking for someone who can work the entire summer (June–August) and who can start immediately. The position is a temporary hourly employment for the summer, with the possibility of continued hourly employment if needed after the period.

The duties include, among other things:

• Printing of healthcare documentation
• Diagnosis and procedure coding
• Registration of healthcare contacts and visits
• Handling of mail and referrals

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Graduated or currently studying to become a medical secretary/healthcare administrator
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• Good knowledge of medical terminology
• Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and Teams
• Easily adapts to new digital systems

Merits:

• Documented experience working as a medical secretary in both outpatient and inpatient care
• Passed basic course in disease classification (e.g., Emendor)

Employment Type

Temporary hourly employment during the summer of 2026, during the period June–August.

We are looking for someone who can start immediately and work throughout the summer.

Working hours are during daytime Monday–Friday. After the summer, there is a possibility of continued hourly employment if needed.
