We have fun at work on the Gastroenterology Department! We are a gastroenterological department that treats patients in need of highly specialized medical care within gastroenterology. The patients have varying degrees of care needs, which creates varied tasks and great opportunities for personal development. We know our patients well and strive to provide the best possible care and ensure that all our patients are comfortable.

We are a close-knit unit with closeness between professional groups as well as an open and positive work climate. Here, everyone is welcome as they are, and no question is considered stupid. We have a learning climate where we support our colleagues and work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of a nurse, assistant nurse, doctor, medical secretary, and rehabilitation staff.

There is a counselor on the department who is a great support to the care team and the patients. Additionally, there are four specialized nurses, two of whom are nursing leaders who provide support to other staff in complex nursing situations and are responsible for improvement and quality development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming a new nursing colleague to our team!

Here, you work together with the interdisciplinary team to plan, perform, develop, and evaluate nursing interventions and the patient's health status. Medical-technical tasks such as inserting NG tubes, nasogastric tubes, and managing central lines are common duties. On the department, we also place PICC lines and mid-lines. You work based on the core competencies of care with team collaboration, patient safety issues, evidence-based care, and improvement work in focus, in order to drive our operations forward. We hold regular improvement meetings where everyone's suggestions are welcome, and where we together decide how we should work to realize these. We wish for you, together with us, to contribute and have an active role in the development of care with methods and approaches.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply are a registered nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. If you have previous experience from gastroenterological care and/or from emergency care, it is meritorious for the position.
