The Performance Marketing Expert role is responsible for the data-driven planning, execution, and optimization of paid digital marketing activities across channels such as SEM, Social, OLV, and Display. This role ensures that all campaigns are aligned with Volvo Trucks’ brand values and business objectives, driving high-quality traffic, lead generation, and measurable business growth. The Performance Marketing Expert collaborates closely with the Marketing team, Content Production team, Analytics, and Channel Owners to deliver efficient, effective, and on-brand digital activations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously optimize data-driven paid media strategies across channels such as SEM, Social, OLV, and Display to drive high-quality traffic, lead generation, and measurable business results.
- Own the end-to-end execution of paid media campaigns, including campaign setup, targeting, bidding strategies, and budget allocation, to maximize ROI and support defined business objectives.
- Monitor, analyze, and evaluate campaign performance on an ongoing basis, translating insights into concrete optimization actions, recommendations, and performance improvements.
- Ensure that all paid media activities are fully aligned with Volvo Trucks’ brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Content Production team, Analytics, Channel Owners, and local market teams to deliver integrated, coherent, and data-driven digital activations across markets.
- Stay continuously up to date with digital marketing trends, platform developments, new formats, and best practices to proactively identify innovation opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Drive efficiency and scalability in paid media operations by leveraging automation, platform capabilities, and AI-based tools where applicable, while ensuring full adherence to brand, quality, and compliance standards.
Requested Qualifications
- Deep hands-on expertise in paid digital marketing channels, including SEM (Google Ads, Bing), Social (such as LinkedIn and Meta), and Display advertising, with a strong focus on B2B performance and lead generation.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with digital marketing analytics, attribution models, and reporting tools to evaluate performance and drive continuous optimization.
- Proven experience in end-to-end campaign management, including setup, optimization, budget allocation, and performance follow-up across multiple markets and channels.
- Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing platforms, algorithms, formats, trends, and regulatory requirements relevant for B2B marketing and paid media.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, multi-stakeholder environment, collaborating closely with content, analytics, channel owners, and local market teams.
- Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to translate data and performance insights into clear recommendations and actions.
- Creative and commercial mindset combined with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Experience working with AI and/or machine learning-based automation tools for bidding, targeting, optimization, or reporting within performance marketing is considered a plus.
The position is based in Gothenburg and occasional travel may occur.
