At Carla, we want to set a new standard for how people buy cars. Our goal is to make buying and selling a car online just as easy and secure as any other online purchase. Naturally, all our cars must be plug-in capable. We aim to help more people experience the benefits of driving electric vehicles. Therefore, we have created the safest, most comfortable, and transparent way to sell, buy, or lease an electric car. Carla was founded in 2020 in Stockholm, and we are currently in an exciting growth phase.

About the Role

As an Accountant at Carla, you will play a key role in the daily financial operations and contribute to ensuring high quality in the company's accounting and financial processes. This role suits you if you are structured, have an eye for detail, and thrive in creating order and efficient workflows in a dynamic and fast-growing environment where processes and structures are not yet fully established. You will work closely with the Head of Accounting and other parts of the finance department, taking responsibility for parts of the ongoing accounting and contributing to efficient and well-functioning financial processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Handling ongoing accounting and bookkeeping.
• Customer invoicing within certain business areas of the company.
• Responsible for final reconciliation and payment of incoming supplier invoices.
• Handling manual bank payments.
• Significant involvement in monthly closing and other recurring closing activities.
• Ensuring that financial processes follow internal routines and accounting principles.
• Collaborating with other departments on finance-related matters.
• Contributing to the improvement and efficiency of financial workflows and processes.

We believe the ideal candidate:

• Has approximately 3 years of experience working in accounting within a finance function or at an accounting firm.
• Has post-secondary education in economics, accounting, or a similar field.
• Has a good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Is meticulous, structured, and responsible.
• Thrives in a high-paced environment with varied tasks.
• Has strong communication skills and appreciates collaboration with colleagues and other functions.

Experience working in Microsoft Business Central is a plus but not a requirement. However, we highly value proficiency in working with Excel and/or Google Sheets.
