As a Security Officer at the Service Unit of the Swedish Migration Agency, you are part of a common agency resource regarding operational security matters for the Agency's administrative premises, storage facilities, and also for our facility-based accommodations within the geographical region.

Together with the Swedish Migration Agency's Security Department, the service units provide expertise in several security areas.

What does a Security Officer do?

As a Security Officer, you will have coordination and follow-up responsibilities for, among other things:

• systematic fire protection work
• access control, physical premises security, guarding, and alarm handling
• security risk analyses
• security, crisis, and evacuation planning
• card and access rights administration

You work in consultation with the operations as well as with other security officers and employees at the unit and at other service units. The work involves business travel, both within and outside the region.

As a Security Officer, you act as an advisor and offer support to other units within the operations. To contribute to this, it is required to monitor the external environment and network both within and outside the agency.

You have regional and local client responsibility within the security area. Furthermore, you are one of the unit's contact persons towards our suppliers of security systems, locks/alarm/access, guarding, and fire protection.

You contribute to improvement work by conducting certain analyses and follow-ups in all areas and planning measures together with other security officers and employees at the unit, as well as in the national network of security officers available at the service units. You follow up and rectify any deficiencies based on inspection reports in our shared premises. You are responsible for managing technical installations within the security area and for maintaining and developing routines within your area of responsibility.

You work in a team together with other colleagues at the unit where you support each other within the framework of the unit's mission. Together, you form a consolidated competence for the areas of responsibility that fall within the unit's mission, where good communication and flexibility are the foundation for effective work.

You may also work with other daily service issues in collaboration with employees within the Service Unit.

Security clearance with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. Based on this, there is a requirement for Swedish citizenship. The employment presupposes a passed security clearance.

You who apply have

• Post-secondary education with a focus on technical security, risk or crisis management, or other education combined with work experience that the employer deems equivalent
• Current experience of continuity planning (including disaster/breakdown plans)
• Experience with SBA (Systematic Fire and Security Work)
• Knowledge of current legislation regarding the Security Protection Act, Work Environment Act, etc.
• Good communication skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing, in both Swedish and English
• Good current knowledge of the MS Office package
• Class B driver's license
• Swedish citizenship

It is meritorious if you have

• Current experience of security work within public operations
• Knowledge of security work in locked environments
• Current experience of practical security technology connected via Unison or other overarching alarm management systems
• Experience of project-based work with premises security as a focus
• Current experience of practical SBA work
• Experience of working in property systems
