Evelid consists of approximately 68 short-term/respite care beds and a palliative care unit, divided into eight units. At Evelid, one must have knowledge of, or be willing to learn, advanced healthcare.

Another reason is that the tasks are very varied. The focus is always on the care recipient, where the main points lie in personal care, training, social interaction, and outdoor activities. As a nursing assistant, it is also important to be flexible as we help each other on all units in the house when needed, which is both educational and fun! We also have delegations for most things such as leg bandaging, tube feeding, insulin, wound care, blood sampling, Klexane, and much more. "Hi! My name is Sanela and I work at Evelid's short-term housing. We who work here are passionate about our job and every day is different. I usually say we are not the sun but have the sun's warmth which we spread to our patients, students, colleagues, and relatives. Making their day brighter by curling hair, painting nails, taking a walk, or talking about grandchildren makes their days sunnier. Being the first or sometimes the last person this individual sees. The tasks may include, for example, tracheostomy care, dialysis, venous blood sampling, leg bandaging, certain delegated injections, and insulin administration. In our operations, it is a requirement to take the necessary delegations to provide safe and secure help to the people who come to us. Good treatment and responsibility are required.

We work closely with nurses and Municipal Rehabilitation, who delegate tasks to the nursing assistants. We work in the journal system Lifecare and with digital signing via Appva.

Qualifications

You must have a approved education from the Care and Nursing Programme or equivalent, as well as work experience as a nursing assistant.

We would like to see documentation experience in our operational system Lifecare. At Evelid, we want to be digitally at the forefront, so a certain technical interest is important and a habit of working digitally is desirable. You must be able to speak, understand, and write Swedish without hindrance. You should be flexible in your work approach, curious, receptive, and willing to do the best for those who stay with us.

Employment type: Permanent position.
