About the workplace

Kronaskolan F-6 is located on a hill in Älvängen with views over the Göta River valley. We work with the core idea that "all children are everyone's children," to create the best conditions for becoming a truly excellent school. Kronaskolan F-6 consists of two buildings: Kronahuset and Madenhuset.

From the school year 2026-2027, grades F-3 will be taught in Kronahuset, and grades 4-6 in Madenhuset.

Kronaskolan 4-6 will be organized as follows for the school year 2026-2027:

• Teaching Team 4
• Teaching Team 5
• Teaching Team 6
• Arts Teaching Team
• Student Welfare (SU) Team
• Support Functions (special needs pedagog, special needs teacher, school counselor, student coordinator, and student assistant)

Teaching Team 5 will consist of teachers with the following subject combinations:

• Math/Science/Technology teachers
• Swedish/Social Studies teachers
• English/Art teachers

This vacancy concerns recruitment for teaching in Teaching Team 5 in the subjects Swedish and Social Studies for the school year 2026-2027.

Responsibilities

Your teaching is fundamentally analog, based on the meeting and interaction between student and teacher. Where objectively justifiable, you utilize digital tools. You actively work to consolidate and strengthen students' reading and writing skills. In your work, you maintain a scientific approach, using relevant research to justify your choices.

The work involves planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing teaching together with the teaching team and subject colleagues, based on student needs and organizational goals. You have a systematic approach to your tasks and the ability to analyze your own performance and development.

As part of the school staff, you are also a key actor in the joint effort to create safety and study peace throughout the school environment.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach grades 4-6 in Swedish and Social Studies. Since you will be teaching these subjects, you must be qualified in them, and it is meritorious if you are qualified in additional subjects.

You appreciate the benefits of belonging to a teaching team and have the ability to both follow jointly made decisions and actively contribute to the school's development by offering your own ideas and encouraging innovation. In addition to collaborating with your teaching team, you also cooperate with other teams and the student welfare service. You have the ability to both give and receive help constructively.

In the classroom, you demonstrate clear pedagogical leadership. You build relationships and create a safe and structured environment where students see each other as resources and learn together. At the same time, you have the ability to adapt teaching to individual needs when required.

Other Information

Personal suitability is given great weight. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis. Please attach your teaching license to your application.
