Kållekärr School and After-School Center
Kållekärr School and After-School Center is centrally located on Tjörn, where approximately 215 students from preschool class to grade 5 receive their education. We are a dedicated team (approximately 25 teachers and other staff) who know each other and the students well. Together, we create a warm and secure work environment.
We have common adaptations, strategies, and approaches in the classrooms based on the Swedish National Agency for Education's "Special Pedagogy for Learning" to ensure every student succeeds as much as possible. The health-promoting work is clearly linked to teaching. We work systematically and research-based to create order, study quietness, and an inclusive teaching climate at our school, including through positive behavioral support. We regularly follow up and develop our teaching and work with cooperative learning.
Recess is an important part of the students' school day. Teachers at the after-school center plan and are responsible for activities and learning during recesses. Our schoolyard borders the forest and is inviting and varied. It invites play and movement and contributes to well-being.
The goal for us who work in the Child and Education Administration is to create a sustainable future through a secure and meaningful education with trust in the individual.
