About the workplace

Bohusskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) located in the heart of the community of Bohus. The school is a five-minute walk from Bohus center and is easily and quickly accessible by public transport. There are currently 620 students at the school. If you choose to work at Bohusskolan, you will meet dedicated and committed staff daily who approach their students and their work with great interest and responsibility. The workplace offers opportunities for competence development and further training.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged and creative special education teacher/primary-secondary school teacher for our special education group for grades 7–9. You will be part of our resource team and work with students who need special support and adjustments to reach their goals. Your mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to develop and thrive.

You will plan and conduct teaching in various subjects for students in grades 7-9. You are responsible for adapting the teaching based on the students' individual needs and prerequisites, preferably with the support of digital tools. You monitor and evaluate the students' development and adapt the teaching as needed.

You collaborate closely with colleagues, special educators, and other staff to create a holistic view of the student's learning.

Qualifications

You are a licensed teacher with the eligibility to teach in grades 7-9.

Experience working with students who need special support is advantageous.

You possess good collaboration skills and flexibility, with the ability to adapt your approach and communication based on students' functional variations, as well as a sense for helping students interpret different situations and social contexts.
