About the Workplace

In the city, the Social Services Department is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so they can take an active part in society.

To enable home-based solutions, we have Residential Care Homes (HVB) and Supported Housing places for children and young people in Helsingborg. You will belong to the Housing Business Area within the Social Services Department and work within our HVB unit.

Our HVBs receive boys and girls between the ages of 12–19 with various psychosocial issues, early risk behavior, and criminality, or placement after treatment. We work actively with family and networks according to Signs of Safety.

We are now looking for four new colleagues who want to work with us.

The positions are at 95% with scheduled working hours, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Job Responsibilities

As a Family Therapist at the HVB, you have a fun, varied, and challenging job with great opportunities to influence the work both in everyday life and in the long term. We work to ensure that the young person gets a functioning daily life, where structure, activities, and a meaningful leisure time are key components.

As a family therapist, we work for and with the young person and their entire network. The work involves, among other things, individual conversations and family sessions.

As a Family Therapist, you are responsible for being a contact person for some of the young people, which means you are coordinating the therapeutic work and the contacts that need to be made around the young person, but you work with all our placed young people. Based on the young person's care plan, you set goals together with the young person and their family, which are documented in an implementation plan. Documentation takes place in Journal Digital. The work also includes practical tasks, similar to those in a home such as cooking and cleaning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems suitable.
• Experience in social work with children and young people within HVB is an advantage.
• Experience in addiction, network work, psychiatry, and neuropsychiatric disabilities is an advantage.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, as well as good computer skills; experience with Journal Digital is an advantage.
• Driver's license and ability to drive a car.

We are interested in you who have:

• Good ability to build relationships, collaborate, and promote an open climate and a service-oriented approach.
• An approach where you work to ensure that social work has the client's needs at the center, focusing on participation for the young people and their families.
• Ability to handle situations in the moment as well as to work long-term and structured in a therapeutic assignment.
• An action-oriented approach and the courage to be open to seeking and trying new solutions. Ability to lead yourself and work independently.
• Training in Signs of Safety, MI, RePulse, systems theory, addiction, Step 1 training, and training related to self-harm behaviors is an advantage.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. Probation may be applied. Selection will be made on an ongoing basis.
