I am now looking for a female personal assistant who wants to become an important part of my daily life. I am 19 years old and live with my family just outside Borås, in the Lockryd/Sandsjönäs area.

The position is approximately 80% with varying working hours.

Working Hours

The working hours are spread across all hours of the day and include both weekdays and weekends. Examples of shifts are:

• 09:00–17:00
• 12:00–20:00
• 24-hour shift 12:00–09:00 with 6 hours of sleeping on-call

The work involves both independent work and sometimes working together with a colleague in double assistance.

I am looking for you who:

• Are female (requirement)
• Have a driver's license and access to your own car (requirement)
• Can participate in swimming/bathing (requirement)
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Are positive, secure, and creative
• Can work both independently and together with others

Previous experience in personal assistance is meritorious, but the most important thing for me is that we get along and that you have the desire, commitment, and a warm demeanor. It is important that you can start working this summer.

A little about me

I am 19 years old and have 24-hour assistance. For me, personal assistance is about the opportunity for a life where I am involved, feel a sense of community, and am understood.

I am an active and social person who enjoys when things happen in everyday life. My assistants and I like to find activities together; we often go out in my adapted car, take walks where it works with the wheelchair, visit the zoo, or have a coffee. I love music and meeting people.

I also often train in the pool, both because it is fun and because it is good for me, so it is important that you feel comfortable swimming and being in the water.

I do not speak and therefore need help interpreting and conveying myself in meetings with people who do not know me. I use a wheelchair and need help with, among other things, transfers, dressing, meals, and personal hygiene.

Within Sjuhäradsbygdens Assistansservice AB, we have created opportunities for our care recipients for over 25 years. We are a group offering Personal Assistance and Day Activity. The group is owned by Sjuhäradsbygdens Handikappservice Economic Association. The association is run completely without economic ownership interests and reinvests any surplus back into the operations.
