Job Description

The position is full-time and consists of 80% dance in school, preschool, and voluntary activities, 10% drill (with a focus on rhythmic dance), and 10% wind instrument teaching (primarily trumpet, but also recorder groups).

Dance

You will meet children in school and preschool during the day and will travel around the municipality's 6 schools to conduct dance in project form for approximately 6 weeks/year per school.

You will lead the cultural school's own dance courses where students develop within different dance styles and choreographies. The teaching in voluntary activities takes place at the cultural school in Svenljunga two afternoons a week.

Drill

As a drill teacher with a focus on rhythmic dance, you teach children from grade 3 and up. The teaching is based on dancing with pom-poms to music from an orchestra, focusing on rhythm, movement, and having fun together. The lessons take place on Wednesday afternoons/evenings once a week.

Wind Instruments

The teaching takes place during the day once a week, where students develop their musical journey in trumpet and recorder, both individually and in groups.

You will work in a wonderful and positive team consisting of cultural school teachers who are passionate about their jobs and their cultural school. You will also meet many wonderful children/young people who are eager for dance and instrument instruction.

Qualifications

  • Experience or education in both dance and music, as well as experience working with children and young people.
  • Valid driver's license (Category B).

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Working hours: Daytime.
