Do you want to work in a business where you make a real difference in people's daily lives?
We are now looking for an engaged and confident support assistant for an LSS housing facility with five residents in target group 1, with diagnoses such as intellectual disability (ID) and autism.
In the summer of 2024, Strängnäs Municipality opened a new LSS housing facility in the beautiful nature of Stallarholmen. The facility is located on the outskirts of the community with proximity to forests and green areas. Here there are five apartments as well as common areas for social interaction and activities.
The work group consists of eight employees and with us you will have good opportunities to together with colleagues create a safe, developmental and meaningful everyday life for the residents based on their individual needs and conditions.

DUTIES
The work as a support assistant is based on individual implementation plans with the aim that each resident should be given the opportunity for a meaningful life, increased independence and participation in their daily life. The assignment includes mapping skills and support needs to be able to create the right adjustments and give individually tailored support.
You follow the residents in their daily life and support in everything related to home and daily life, for example:
- cooking and household chores
- personal care
- leisure activities and physical activity
- social relationships and contact with relatives
A pedagogical and low-affective approach is a central part of the work. We are therefore looking for you who have a genuine interest in the target group and who work with respect, clarity and engagement in the meeting with each individual.
Bathing and swimming is a recurring task in the business where staff participate together with the residents. Therefore, it is a requirement that you can swim and feel safe in the water.
The working hours are scheduled with service during the day, evening and every other weekend.
The position also includes a requirement to receive delegated tasks according to HSL within the agreed time.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
- education as a nurse assistant with a focus on disability, childminder or other equivalent education
- previous experience of working within LSS operations
- experience of low-affective handling
- experience of social documentation
- good computer skills
- good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing
- ability to work pedagogically, structured and safely
- a genuine interest in supporting people to increased quality of life
- swimming skills and ability to participate in bathing and swimming activities together with residents
- Class B driver's license
Great importance is attached to personal suitability. You are sensitive and have the ability to adapt your handling, support and service based on the resident's individual needs. The work requires commitment, responsibility and creativity.
