Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a Support Pedagogue for a six-month fixed-term position at Mariagården Day Activity Centre, located a stone's throw from Munkebäckstorget in Kålltorp.

Mariagården is a day activity centre for individuals with autism and complex needs. The operation is characterized by a clear pedagogical approach where structure, predictability, and individually adapted support are central. Several users have extensive support needs, and challenging or aggressive behaviors may occur, which places demands on a secure and professional approach.

As a Support Pedagogue, you have overall responsibility for the pedagogical work within the activity, which is directed at individuals with decisions regarding day activities according to the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). You work with developing, implementing, and following up on working methods and approaches, ensuring they are used in a qualitative and purposeful manner.

You are responsible for the creation, follow-up, and development of social documentation and implementation plans in accordance with current legislation and guidelines. In this role, you are a key knowledge resource within the work group and are responsible for method meetings and other competence development, which means you need to feel confident leading groups.

You are part of a network with other Support Pedagogues within day activities and collaborate with social secretaries, guardians, and other key actors. The role also involves close cooperation with the unit manager regarding operational development from both a pedagogical and economic perspective.

Working hours are during daytime, Monday to Friday.

For the position of Support Pedagogue, post-secondary specialization within the disability sector is required, comprising at least 200 YH credits, 120 higher education credits, or 60 higher education credits combined with two years of work experience with individuals with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) nursing, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

To be able to maintain documentation, you must master the Swedish language in speech and writing, which implies a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1 may be offered a language test through the test provider Educateit.

Furthermore, the position requires previous experience working with the target group of individuals with autism.
