Social Secretary for the Child and Family Investigation Unit

At the Child and Family Investigation Units, we handle cases within Individual and Family Care (IFO) targeting children and young people aged 0-20. We work to create social security for children, young people, and adults with the goal of achieving social sustainability. We are a vital part of the municipality's work for increased security, where our mission is to prevent and counteract risk factors such as norm-breaking behavior, mental health issues, and children witnessing violence.

When working with children and young people exhibiting norm-breaking behavior, we use evidence-based assessment instruments such as EARL and SAVRY. Two of our employees also work in the "Soc" assignment with the police, and we have two SIG coordinators (Social Intervention Groups).

Job Responsibilities

As a Social Secretary at the Investigation Unit, you work with authority exercises according to current legislation and apply a systemic perspective supported by Signs of Safety. With the user in focus and normalization as a starting point, the task is to describe, analyze, and assess needs, conduct motivational work, and enable more children to remain in their home environment with the right support.

The work involves investigating and documenting applications and reports according to the Social Services Act (SoL), making safety assessments, and making well-founded and quality-assured decisions. You follow up on interventions and placements, prepare cases according to the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM), and receive new applications and reports. The role also includes representing the unit in the Administrative Court and presenting cases in the board, with support from the team leader when needed. Collaboration also occurs through participation in external meetings.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a qualified social worker or have relevant education that is validated (Socialstyrelsen's competency requirements for social workers: 7.5 credits social work basic level, 7.5 credits social work advanced/continuing level, 7.5 credits social law, 7.5 credits psychology). The Social Services Act and LVU are the foundation of your work, and your knowledge in these areas is important. Documentation is a natural part of daily life, so you need good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is important to us that you are interested in social work and go to work because you want to and dare to make a difference for vulnerable people in society. If you have experience and knowledge about the target group, this is particularly meritorious. Since travel is part of the position, you need a valid B-driver's license.

We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and seeks meaningful and varied work. You have the ability to see the whole picture in the investigation work and what is important for the investigation. Your openness and interest in listening to others contribute to creating good relationships with those you meet. You are structured and stress-resistant but flexible in your planning. The workload varies, and you need to be able to handle cases of a more acute nature. In crisis situations, you act calmly and controlled.

A certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) is required for these positions.
