About Us

Fuxernaskolan in Lilla Edet Municipality is now looking for a certified teacher with qualifications in mathematics, preferably combined with another subject.

We are a secondary school (grades 7–9) with approximately 370 students, where safety, a conducive study environment, and high teaching quality form the foundation of student learning. Your Role

As a teacher at Fuxernaskolan, you are responsible for both the quality of teaching and the holistic development of students. The position includes:

• Teaching mathematics in grades 7–9
• Planning, implementing, and following up on teaching with a focus on high quality and clear progression
• Assessing students' knowledge and assigning grades according to current regulatory documents
• Documenting and analyzing students' knowledge development
• Creating a conducive study environment through clear, safe, and low-affective leadership
• Being a present and responsible adult who combines structure with sensitivity
• Actively participating in the school's competence development work, including within the framework of Excellent Teaching
• Mentorship, with responsibility for following up on students' study situations and contact with guardians
• Collaborating in work teams and subject groups, and contributing to the school's systematic quality work
• Being flexible, solution-oriented, and open to trying and developing new working methods
• In daily work, you collaborate with the school's student coaches, who are responsible for the recreation room and are present in the corridors together with the student health team. This provides you as a teacher with good conditions to focus on teaching, relationships, and learning in the classroom.

Who Are You?

• Are a certified teacher with certification in mathematics
• Have good knowledge of assessment and grading
• Are confident in your assignment and lead teaching through clarity, structure, and calm
• Work in a low-affective and relationship-building manner, even in challenging situations
• Are solution-oriented, flexible, and professional
• Have an interest in teaching development and want to contribute to increased teaching quality
• Have the courage and curiosity to develop your teaching based on current research and try new methods
• Enjoy collegial learning and joint development work

We place great importance on personal qualities and see that you are a clear leader who can adapt your leadership style in the classroom to the situation.

Before employment, you must provide a certified extract from the criminal record register.
