The agricultural schools Axevalla Horse Centre, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological University College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with businesses and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and pilot activities at the forefront on the schools. Description

We are expanding our operations and need more employees for a fantastic team. The Adapted Upper Secondary School at Sötåsen Agricultural School comprises approximately 45 students and 15 staff members. The activity focuses on the students' learning and development through high expectations and trust in the student's ability. We offer an environment where both heart and mind can thrive. As part of the team at the Adapted Upper Secondary School, you will have the opportunity to work in a group where cooperation, helpfulness, and engagement are key words. All students are everyone's students, which means you will never stand alone with a challenge but are also expected to contribute to the whole.

Tasks

Teaching in one or more subjects including nature knowledge, Swedish, mathematics, history, religion, social studies, and physical education on the Forest, Land, and Animal program at the adapted upper secondary school.

As a teacher, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching in the subject. The teaching takes place both theoretically and practically in the school's premises and at the school's various facilities.

The tasks also include:

• assessing and documenting students' knowledge development
• participating in team work and the school's development work
• collaborating with colleagues and guardians
• contributing to a secure and inclusive learning environment
• having mentorship and class teacher responsibilities for a group of students

You will become an important person in creating good conditions for the students' future lives, where our high expectations of students are a clear success factor. There is some possibility to shape the position based on your area of competence.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained teacher in some of the subjects: nature knowledge, Swedish, mathematics, religion, history, social studies, and physical education.

You are structured, responsible, and have good cooperation skills. You contribute to a positive work climate and have the ability to adapt teaching to the students' needs.

A Category B driver's license for manual transmission is required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Meritorious qualifications

• Teaching certification or ongoing pedagogical education
• Experience of teaching or supervision

Conditions

Permanent position with 100% employment, holiday service. Start date August 3rd or as agreed. Selection and interview work may take place continuously, so apply today and no later than June 10th. To obtain employment within the school, a certificate of good conduct from both the criminal record register and the suspicion register for work with children is required; you can apply for a certificate via the police's website.
