Payroll Administrator - Join us in shaping the future of payroll in Huddinge Municipality!

Do you want to work broadly within the payroll field—in a role where you can contribute, influence, and develop? Then seize the opportunity to join our temporary position lasting approximately 12 months, with a high chance of conversion to a permanent position.

About the position

The HR Administrative Section works to make it "easy to do the right thing" in payroll work. As a Payroll Administrator with us, you will become an important part of a business that makes a difference every day. You will work with an engaged team where we help each other, share knowledge, and develop our working methods together.

The team works consultatively and supports managers and administrators throughout the various stages of the payroll process, including employment matters, scheduling and resource planning, payroll events, payroll calculations, quality assurance, payroll checks, AGI, and account reconciliations of payroll-related costs, personnel file management, etc. We strive to be the municipality's experts in laws and agreements surrounding the entire payroll process for both municipal employees and our politicians. The payroll team currently consists of 11 people who work daily in telephone support, the personnel system Heroma, the case management system NSP, and in a shared mailbox.

We process approximately 8,000 pay slips/month. Our daily tasks also include HR administrative duties such as personnel file management, disclosure of public documents, and other inquiries, e.g., from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, salary inquiries, and pension inquiries from our pension administrator, Skandia, etc. We work according to SKR (Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions) agreements. Here you will find many different employee groups. In a municipality, we have many different categories of salaries, including standard holiday employment, summer job employees, politicians, and work groups with irregular working hours.

The HR Department is in the midst of an exciting journey regarding working methods, automation, and digitalization. We have just started the procurement process for a new personnel system.

We are looking for you who

Have post-secondary education in payroll (300-400 credits) and have at least 2 years of experience working broadly with payroll. We see that you feel confident in the entire payroll process and have good system proficiency. Additionally, it is meritorious if you have worked in municipal operations in a similar role. In this position, you need to master Swedish in both speech and writing.
