The School of Culture operates throughout the municipality, primarily in the urban areas of Mölnlycke and Landvetter, which have excellent commuting options by bus or train.

Your role

• As a woodwind teacher, you develop, guide, and support children and young people aged 6 to 19 in the art of playing woodwind instruments. Teaching is conducted through instrumental lessons, as well as ensembles and orchestras.
• Your main instrument is the flute, but you also teach other woodwind instruments.
• Together with colleagues, you lead ensembles and perform concerts in various contexts on our different stages.
• In addition to meeting with students, you organize events and projects in various contexts, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the School of Culture's development work.
• The position may involve teaching in additional subjects. Therefore, it is meritorious if you also have good competence in one or more secondary subjects.
• The position is a permanent part-time employment at 60%. During the academic year 2026-2027, the position may temporarily be increased to 80%.
• Working hours are primarily scheduled in the afternoons and evenings.

Requirements for the position

We are looking for you who

• have adequate pedagogical and musical higher education, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• have a high artistic level in your own playing
• have good competence and experience in instrumental and ensemble methodology
• have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing

We place great emphasis on education and personal qualities. Experience from a school of culture, as well as pedagogical competence in several aesthetic subject areas, is meritorious.

To be employed, a certificate of no criminal record (extract from the Police Register) must be presented. An extract from the suspicion register may also be required depending on the position.
