About the workplace

Kronaskolan F-6 is located on a hill in Älvängen with a view over the Göta River valley. Kronaskolan is an educational unit that houses several operations; lower primary, middle primary, preschool, and adapted comprehensive school. We work with the core idea that all children are everyone's children, to create the best conditions for becoming a really good school. Together, we have a joint responsibility for approximately 915 children and students.

Kronaskolan F-6 is located in two different buildings. From the school year 2026-2027, grades F-3 will be taught in Kronahuset and grades 4-6 in Madenhuset. For the upcoming school year, we have approximately 470 students taught in grades F-3, distributed across 21 classes.

The premises are modern and functional, and the schoolyard invites activity. Kronahuset has a full-size sports hall, subject rooms for art, home economics, music, crafts, and a school library.

Responsibilities

As a class teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the current curriculum, both independently and in close collaboration with your colleagues in your work team. Your assignment is based on course plans and steering documents with a focus on students' knowledge development, increased independence, and social development. You actively work to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment where students feel trust, dare to explore, and develop their desire to learn. The teaching is characterized by variation in methods, forms of expression, and learning environments based on students' different needs and prerequisites. Documentation and follow-up of students' knowledge development is a natural part of your work.

You collaborate both within and outside your own profession, in the work team, and with other functions at the school, and actively contribute to the school's development work with the goal of achieving high goal fulfillment and securing students. A professional and respectful approach towards students, guardians, and colleagues is a natural part of the assignment. The role includes holding parent meetings and conducting development conferences.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with the qualifications to teach in grades F-3. If you have qualifications to teach older grades, it is meritorious as we are a school with students from F-6.

You see yourself as an important part of the work to create good conditions for students' learning and well-being. You are engaged and want to develop students' abilities, knowledge, and self-confidence, as well as prepare them for life and the future.

You are positive, flexible, and relationship-building, are well rooted in the school's value base, have a good attitude, and want to work with us to ensure the school is an accessible operation for everyone. You are secure in your professional role and have a very good ability to create trusting relationships with students and guardians.

You appreciate the benefits of belonging to a work team and have the ability to both follow jointly made decisions and actively contribute to the school's development by coming up with your own ideas and encouraging new thinking. In addition to collaboration with the work team, you also collaborate with other work teams and the student health service. You have the ability to both give and receive help constructively.

In the classroom, you have clear pedagogical leadership. You build relationships and create a safe and structured environment where students see each other as resources and learn together. At the same time, you have the ability to adapt teaching to individual needs when required.
