About the School

Gullmarsskolan F-6 is a school located in the heart of Lysekil with 40 staff members and approximately 200 students. We work in teams for grades F–3, 4–6, and the leisure centre. Our core mission is to promote children's and students' learning, education, and well-being. Our education is based on scientific grounds and proven experience. We strive to optimize students' opportunities for learning and development through our engagement and teaching, regardless of their prior knowledge.

We process and learn together in a democratic spirit, using dialogue and reflection as tools. We challenge each other and act as critical friends to one another. Together, we practice, test, and re-evaluate to develop knowledge, competence, and professional judgment. We work actively with collegial learning, joint planning, and have a system for study support tutors and mother-tongue teachers.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who want to work as a Leisure Centre Teacher at Gullmarsskolan F-6, preferably with a focus on crafts, music, or technology in collaboration with school hours. You will join the leisure centre team and work with students in various grades both during the school day and leisure centre hours. You are familiar with the curriculum and its values and view of knowledge.

Your role involves planning, following up, and evaluating the pedagogical activities together with your colleagues. You document at the group and individual levels to make learning processes visible. As a Leisure Centre Teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that teaching is conducted in accordance with the goals of the curriculum and based on the knowledge and experiences the children have previously acquired. It is important that you have a pedagogical approach and a holistic view of the students to stimulate their social development and learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified Leisure Centre Teacher with subject competence, preferably in crafts, music, art, or technology. You have a strong interest in collaboration between the leisure centre and the school, as well as in recess activities. It is important that you can work independently but also collaborate effectively within the team.

The work in the leisure centre is driven by a team leader who, together with the development group, sets the direction for the common mission. Systematic quality work runs as a red thread through the operations in collaboration with the school. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
