Description

Stångenäs School is a grades F–6 school located in Brastad, Lysekil Municipality. The school is situated in a beautiful natural area and has approximately 245 students. The school also includes Bro School, a grades F–3 school with approximately 55 students, located in Brodalen. Together, we create an environment where all students feel safe, accepted, and treated equally. By adapting and adjusting our teaching, we give our students the prerequisites for success. We focus on the students' needs, on what works, energy on solutions, and on how we wish things to be, rather than on problems. At our school, everyone should feel safety, community, and joy.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a textile crafts teacher who wants to join our wonderful teaching team. You will be responsible for textile crafts at the school, and teaching in other subjects may also be included. You will be part of the working group for grades 4–6 and, together with colleagues in the group, you will be responsible for pedagogical planning and pedagogical solutions. The position may also involve being a recess supervisor and acting as a resource in other classes.

You will contribute to the school's development and the overall operation. You place great importance on building relationships with students to nurture their curiosity, imagination, and drive.

Qualifications

You have a crafts teacher education with a focus on sewing. If you have teacher certification in other subjects or a leisure teacher education, this is a plus. You are well-versed in the school's mission and governing documents and can translate these into practice together with students and other educators.

You have the ability to base your work on each student's needs and prerequisites and are a clear leader and a positive adult role model. You collaborate easily, build relationships, and communicate clearly with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are positive, see opportunities and solutions instead of obstacles, and have good digital competence.

We assume you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and teaching experience.

Conditions

Before employment can commence, you must provide your teacher certification or degree certificate, as well as an extract from your criminal record.
