We are hiring two Family Home Secretaries at Eskilstuna Municipality

We are currently looking for two Family Home Secretaries with different specializations within enhanced family home care, as well as recruitment and matching. About the Workplace

The Family Home Unit belongs to the Children's area of the Social Administration. Here, a unit manager, three team leaders, and approximately 20 case workers work in close collaboration with a shared commitment to creating safe and sustainable placements for children and young people. You will become part of an experienced work group with broad competence, a strong focus on children, and an open climate where we support each other in daily work. Here, you will have good opportunities to develop and grow in your professional role.

Responsibilities

As a Family Home Secretary, you will work in one of our teams with a specific focus area. This could be recruitment and matching of foster homes, within enhanced family home care, or as a contact family coordinator. What all roles have in common is that you contribute to safe and sustainable conditions for placed children and young people.

Your tasks include, for example:

• Receiving orders and matching children with suitable foster families.
• Creating advertisements and contacting potential service providers.
• Investigating prospective foster families.
• Holding information meetings and drafting agreements.
• Evaluating financial compensation and preparing decision materials.

If you work with guidance and support, you follow up on the foster families' assignments. You are a close support in everyday life and are available when questions or difficult situations arise. You collaborate closely with the child's social worker and child follower, and sometimes with other authorities. On-call duties may occur on certain days per term, meaning you may sometimes work outside regular working hours.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or a behavioral science degree with additional training that meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for social workers (social work basic level, social work advanced level, social law, and psychology). You may also be at the end of your education.

Meritorious experience:

• Experience in social work.
• Previous experience as a Family Home Secretary.
• Experience in public administration, work with children and families, or supervision.
• Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) and mental health issues.
• Experience with documentation in social work and knowledge of the VIVA system.

Requirements:

• A Category B driver's license is required for both positions.
• Good IT skills.

Personal qualities

You are confident in yourself and treat families with respect and sensitivity. You have the ability to help families handle difficult situations with calmness and professionalism. You have good collaboration skills but can also set boundaries when the situation requires it. You express yourself well in writing and have the ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel.
