About the job

De la Gardiegymnasiet, one of Sweden's largest upper secondary schools, offers a wide range of programs and courses. With approximately 2,000 students and over 250 employees, it is a school full of life and opportunities. Our focus is on the future, and education is conducted with modern technology in fresh facilities. The school's motto is "Success through participation, learning, and joy." We are now looking for a certified upper secondary teacher with qualifications in mathematics who wants to help develop our teaching and contribute to the students' future.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with the work team at the Social Sciences Programme and the Economics Programme. Together with teaching teachers, the principal, and student health services, we identify students in need of extra support and find organization and working methods that benefit the student's continued development towards the goals. When the regular mathematics teacher is absent, you step in to lead the class.

Who are you?

You are a certified upper secondary teacher with qualifications in mathematics and have a strong commitment to teaching and young people's learning. You are flexible and analytical with the ability to process results as well as students' development and needs. You are an independent person who can work both with your own group and together with other teachers within the framework of the classroom. You have the ability to interact with other teachers and actively contribute to developing the work around and with students. You easily build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, and you thrive in an environment where collaboration and development are a natural part of everyday life. You have a good view of students and are active in the unit's systematic quality and development work.

>A degree as a special education teacher in mathematics is meritorious. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. A probationary period may be applied.

Extract from the Criminal Record

Before being offered employment, you as a candidate are required to show an extract from the criminal record when working in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes (residential homes for youth), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police's website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
