We are now looking for an engaged and experienced special needs teacher with a focus on mathematics for grades F–7. Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students and colleagues in an operation characterized by collaboration, development, and high ambitions for all students' learning.

Rosendal School is a preschool to grade 9 school with teaching located in the newly built school in Rosendal. We have fully equipped facilities to conduct teaching for approximately 700 students in all subjects. The school is located in the western part of Rosendal and borders Stadsskogen. We work with IBIS (Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools) to create a positive basic attitude among everyone at the school. We have a fully developed student health team and work extensively with core values and safety. The upper secondary level has four parallel classes, and grades F-6 are growing. This autumn, there will be two parallel classes for grade F-5 and one parallel class for grade 6.

Description of Duties

As a special needs teacher with us, you will primarily work with:

• Teaching and support in mathematics for students in grades F–6.
• Mapping, planning, and follow-up of students' knowledge development.
• Working together with teaching staff to analyze results and develop teaching.
• Mentoring staff regarding extra adaptations and special support.
• Active participation in the student health team's work.

The assignment is both operational and strategic and offers good opportunities to contribute to the school's systematic quality work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a Swedish teaching license and a special needs teacher degree with a focus on mathematics. You have documented experience working as a special needs teacher and are well acquainted with the pedagogical aspects of the assignment. In your role, you take initiative and launch activities that create engagement and lead to students' learning and development. You work goal-oriented based on the curriculum and set goals, with a clear focus on results. When conditions or goals change, you adapt your working method in a flexible way.

You collaborate well with colleagues, students, and guardians and build secure relationships through an attentive and professional approach. You listen, communicate clearly, and handle challenges and conflicts in a constructive manner. With good pedagogical insight, you understand how students absorb knowledge and how different conditions affect learning. You adapt teaching, communication, and methods based on students' needs and create an inclusive learning environment. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work in a structured and efficient manner. You set and maintain timeframes for teaching, assessment, and follow-up.
