Brunnsbo School is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) located at Brunnsbotorget on Hisingen. There are excellent bus connections, with only a 5-minute journey from the Central Station. Job Responsibilities

For grades 4-9, there are music classes that students can apply for, where choir singing is an important part of the school work. Brunnsbo Music Classes have a very good reputation and perform numerous concerts, record albums, and travel within Sweden and abroad.

We are now looking for two teachers with broad subject qualifications for Music Classes in grades 4-6. One position is a permanent appointment, while the other is a temporary position lasting during the academic year 2026/2027. The permanent position includes serving as a homeroom teacher or mentor. You will specify in your application which of the positions you are interested in.

The majority of the teaching will take place in one of our music classes. As a homeroom teacher in a music class, you are responsible for and accompany your class to rehearsals, concerts, and trips, which sometimes take place in the evenings and on weekends. Times and schedules may change with short notice. The work involves contact with guardians, as well as communication and collaboration with both adults and children. You will work with competent and engaged colleagues and wonderful students. You will be part of a goal-oriented and creative work team and collaborate with the student health team and other professions and functions at the school. All students at the school use iPads or Chromebooks as pedagogical tools.

You are responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching and collaborate with your colleagues and participate in our joint school development work. You have a holistic view of students' development, health, and learning. In addition to teaching, job responsibilities include documentation, assessment, and parent contacts. You utilize the school's knowledge and are happy to contribute your own knowledge, previous experience, and insights to development.

To give you, as a newly graduated teacher, the best possible start in your profession, you will participate in the School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly graduated teachers. The introduction gives you, as a newly graduated teacher, a network with other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have broad subject qualifications and teacher certification to teach in grades 4-6. We are primarily looking for you who have a qualification combination of some of the subjects Swedish, English, Mathematics, and Social Studies (SO) or Natural Sciences (NO). As a teacher, you contribute to an environment where students and staff can feel safe, do well, and grow with their tasks and responsibilities.

You have good pedagogical skills, and we assume that you see each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students.

You have a good and respectful approach based on the equal value of all people. You are structured and take responsibility for your work, you see the value in collaborating with others, and you create trust and joy in the groups you lead.

As a homeroom teacher in a music class, you will be responsible for and accompany your class to rehearsals, concerts, and trips, which sometimes take place in the evenings and on weekends. You should be flexible as times and schedules may change with short notice.

You also need to have the ability to create good parent contacts, communicate easily with both adults and children, have good collaboration skills, and be able to build trust and listen to different needs.

The position is subject to the condition that it is not filled for internal reasons.
