Description

Brunnsboskolan is now looking for a teacher for grades 4-6 to teach Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, and Mathematics. The position is a permanent full-time employment (100%).

Brunnsboskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) located at Brunnsbotorget on Hisingen. There are excellent bus connections, with only a 5-minute journey from the Central Station. Our goal is for Brunnsboskolan to be a school where students, staff, and parents thrive and share a common responsibility for creating good conditions for learning and the learning environment. We want our students to feel safe, seen, and respected at Brunnsboskolan. You will be an important part of this work.

You will work with competent and engaged colleagues and wonderful students. You will be part of a goal-oriented and creative work team and collaborate with the student health team and other professions and functions at the school. All students at the school use iPads or Chromebooks as pedagogical tools.

Job Responsibilities

Brunnsboskolan is part of an extra initiative to develop teaching in the middle school years through a two-teacher system. The position involves working in a two-teacher system to develop teaching and strengthen students' goal achievement, meaning being two educators in the classroom but also engaging in extended collegial learning.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, and you collaborate with your colleagues and participate in our joint school development work. You have a holistic view of students' development, health, and learning. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include documentation, assessment, and contact with guardians. You utilize the school's knowledge and are happy to contribute your own knowledge, previous experience, and insights to development. The position includes mentorship of a class.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, and Mathematics in grades 4-6. Eligibility to teach English is also meritorious for the position. Additionally, a couple of years of previous experience in pedagogical work in primary school is preferred.

As a teacher, you contribute to an environment where students and staff can feel safe, well, and grow with their tasks and responsibilities. You have good pedagogical skills, and we assume that you view each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students.

You have a good and respectful approach based on the equal value of all people. You are structured, take responsibility for your work, see the value in collaborating with others, and create trust and joy in the groups you lead.
