Description

Frölundaskolan Bräcke is an adapted primary school with an after-school program (fritidshem). There are 46 students at the school, and we have small student groups with high adult presence. The teachers are responsible for designing and adapting the teaching to meet the students' needs. We have special competence in the areas of communication and physical disabilities.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for student assistants who want to make a difference for our students at Frölundaskolan Bräcke. The school shares its playground and facilities with a regular primary school.

The majority of our students follow the curriculum for subject areas. As a student assistant, you will be offered varied work in a team with several professions. You will be involved in both pedagogical and social contexts throughout the school day, including the after-school program and LSS (Social Services Act support).

The responsibilities include:

• Student-centered and modeling work with a focus on interaction and approach.
• Support in teaching situations, care, and self-care based on the target group's needs.
• Active work to develop students' communication through AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and digital tools.
• Participation in swimming and water activities, as this is a knowledge requirement at the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have at least a secondary education, preferably with a focus that has given you knowledge about our target group. It is meritorious if you have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities or education within care.

We are looking for you who:

• Can express yourself well in speech and writing.
• Have good swimming skills to be able to support students in a water environment.
• Are confident in using digital tools and have knowledge of (or willingness to learn) AAC. It is highly meritorious if you master tactile communication.
• Have good physical health and mobility as the work is active.
