Description

Haga School is a grades F-5 school with approximately 220 students located in the heart of Haga, making its cultural offerings easily accessible and a natural part of the teaching. Slottsskogen Park and the Botanical Garden are within walking distance and are frequently used for field trips.

The school is small, cozy, and recently renovated. The small scale means that everyone knows each other and every student is seen and acknowledged. At the school, we work to ensure that all students feel well, are secure, and develop as much as possible, both academically and socially.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher for Grade 1 with qualifications to teach Swedish, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Social Studies in Grade 1. Additional subject qualifications are meritorious. The position is a temporary assignment for the academic year 2026/2027.

In your role, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with the curriculum. You collaborate closely with your parallel grade colleague and the after-school center teacher working with the grade. You document and communicate with guardians via the v-class platform, write Individual Education Plans (IEP) and written assessments, and conduct development conferences. You also participate in the school's development work and staff meetings.

As part of the ongoing development work, the school, together with Annedals School, has a subject-didactic collegium. This gives you the opportunity to regularly meet with colleagues and develop your work in one of your teaching subjects.

Most classes in the lower primary stage work with PAX, and we would appreciate it if you underwent PAX training if you have not already done so.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified and qualified teacher to teach Swedish, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Social Studies in Grade 1. It is meritorious if you have qualifications in additional subjects.

You have good communication skills and build good relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues. With your ability to collaborate and your respectful approach, you easily create and maintain trusting relationships.
