Tunabergsskolan has 570 students in grades 6–9 and has been located in Uppsala for over 50 years. The school has very good results and works purposefully to develop our operations. We work together in various teams to develop the business.

Description of duties

As a teacher in mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO) subjects, and Technology, you will plan and conduct teaching according to the curriculum. NO teaching takes place in smaller groups in laboratory classrooms, and you will work closely together with several skilled subject colleagues. NO teachers teach all three NO subjects, and in grade 6, also Technology.

You are expected to contribute to developing the school's learning environment together with students and other staff, as well as conduct adapted pedagogical activities based on both individual and group needs and conditions. This also includes encouraging students' creativity and knowledge building. There are special education teachers in mathematics at the school. Mentoring is included in the position. This position is a one-year substitute position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have teacher certification with eligibility to teach mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology in grades 6–9. You have previous experience teaching mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology in grades 6–9. You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a sensitive and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. In your role, you have the ability to put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings. With good pedagogical insight, you understand that students have different conditions for absorbing knowledge. You adapt the way you convey messages to the recipient.
