Job Description
Do you want to develop within controlling and gain broad experience in finance within a real estate company? We need to strengthen our controlling group and are now looking for a Controller for a fixed-term position of one year. You will get a broad insight into the controller's various areas of work as well as real estate economics and will be able to develop within financial management, analysis, reporting, and system support in a workplace with engaged employees.
As a Controller, you will become part of the controlling group and work together with experienced controllers, but you will also have contact with both specialists and managers in the company to be able to perform your work. The role suits you who are at the beginning of your career and want to develop within financial management, budgeting, forecasting, follow-up, and reporting, but also some closing work is included. You will support and relieve primarily our Corporate Controller but also the other controllers in the group. Your tasks will, for example, consist of producing economic reports and follow-ups, participating in budget and forecasting work, supporting the business with analyses, working with monthly closing and controls, compiling and quality-assuring data and materials for reporting, producing guidelines, and participating in improvement work in our processes and systems.
Qualifications
You have an academic degree in economics with a focus on financial management or equivalent education. We want you to have some relevant professional experience as a controller or in similar financial work. This professional experience you may have acquired through summer jobs, longer professional internships, or similar. You have very good knowledge of Excel and other Office programs and have a clear interest in systems and Excel as tools in controlling work. You also master Swedish fluently in both speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you have work experience from controlling work such as work with budget, forecasting, reporting, and result follow-ups, but also revenue and cost controls, and understand the structure of accounting in larger organizations, preferably in real estate companies. Experience of working in financial and follow-up systems is also meritorious.
To succeed in the role, you need to be responsible and able to lead yourself and drive the work forward. You are analytical and have the ability to see connections and draw conclusions from complex information. You work in a structured and proactive manner with a focus on quality and delivery within timeframes. As a person, you are confident in yourself and have the ability to create good relationships and collaborate, are a clear and good communicator, and adapt your communication to the recipient and situation. You also take initiative for improvements and development and act based on the common mission.
Other Information
As a Controller, you belong to the Finance Department which consists of the units controlling, accounting and rent administration, and procurement. You will belong to the controllers group which consists of three people. You report to the Finance Manager who is your closest manager and collaborate with other controllers who will be your closest colleagues. Your work also requires you to collaborate with other employees in the department, specialists, and managers in the company. The finance function plays an important role in the business, and the controlling group works closely with both management and administration.
