The areas of operation for the Child and Education Committee include preschool, pedagogical care, primary school with after-school care, adapted primary and upper secondary school, upper secondary school, SFI/Adult Education, and student health services. We are approximately 1,000 employees working within the Education Office's operations.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of a social pedagogue, you will have the following tasks among others:

• Daily work with attendance and absence, including follow-up and collaboration with guardians and external actors when necessary.
• Investigation of bullying, as well as documentation and follow-up according to current routines.
• Implementation and follow-up of class councils and student councils, aimed at strengthening students' participation and influence.
• Coordination and development of the recess duty activities, such as scheduling activities, conducting them, and evaluating them.
• A portion of the day may be dedicated to the after-school care center as reinforcement in the transition between school and leisure time.

We organize our resources based on different intervention periods of 6-8 weeks or per semester, based on both academic and social needs that arise. As a social pedagogue, you may therefore also receive specific assignments and areas of responsibility beyond those listed above. This means that flexibility is an important part of the assignment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A completed education as a social pedagogue.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Good ability to use digital tools as support in work, e.g., Word, Outlook, Teams.
• Several years of experience working as a social pedagogue. It is particularly meritorious if your experience comes from primary school.
• Good experience working with children/young people who have individual needs due to, for example, neuropsychiatric functional variations or other complex difficulties.
• Category B driver's license.

Meritorious:

• Language skills in languages other than Swedish and English.
• Previous experience of working within primary school.
