The Department of Women's and Children's Health (KBH) is an international and multi-professional department focused on health and welfare. The global health perspective is always present, and we collaborate across professions and clinical areas, both in education and in research.
Responsibilities
As a University Lecturer, you will teach within the Midwifery Programme and the Nursing Programme. The role includes:
- Planning and conducting teaching, both theoretical and practical.
- Participating in course development and ensuring that teaching maintains high quality.
- Being responsible for administration related to the courses, such as course materials and documentation.
You will work closely with colleagues and students to create an stimulating and learning environment.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed midwife with documented pedagogical experience and clinical experience in reproductive health. Experience of working within gynecological and sexual health as well as contraceptive counseling, for example from a midwife clinic, is particularly meritorious. Eligible for appointment as a University Lecturer is someone who has completed a university-level degree and demonstrated pedagogical skill, and has undergone pedagogical education relevant to the university's operations, comprising ten weeks, or acquired equivalent knowledge in another way. If there are special reasons, the higher education pedagogical education can be carried out during the first two years of employment.
Additionally, it is expected that you are meticulous, responsive, and independent, as well as having good analytical skills and very good teamwork skills. We are looking for a person who prioritizes the group's common goals and the whole, and who can collaborate smoothly, constructively, and flexibly in a dynamic work environment. We place great importance on personal suitability. The applicant must master the Swedish and English languages in speech and writing.
About the Position
The position is fixed-term until 2026-12-31. The extent is 40%. Start date: according to agreement. Location: Uppsala.
