We are looking for a highly experienced security specialist for a long-term consulting assignment in Gothenburg. This role is ideal for you if you have deep experience in security protection, information security, critical societal functions, and work within or close to the public sector.

You will work in a senior specialist role focusing on security protection and information security issues within a larger technical and business-oriented development program. The assignment involves providing both operational and strategic support to projects, initiatives, and decision-makers.

The work includes, among other things, information classification, risk analyses, security protection assessments, security protection planning, incident follow-up, developing working methods, training/information, and collaboration with security functions, IT architects, IT security specialists, and other relevant roles.

The role also involves dialogue with and review of external technology suppliers. Therefore, it is important that you can act independently, impartially, and with high integrity.

Workplace and Scope

Location: Gothenburg

Scope: Full-time, approx. 100%

Remote work: Up to approx. 40% may be possible upon agreement

Assignment duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension for up to an additional 12 months

Start: Upon agreement

Travel: Travel to other locations may occur as needed

Language: Swedish at a professional level in both speech and writing

The assignment may be subject to security clearance and requirements for handling confidential or security-sensitive information.

Responsibilities

In this role, you may work with:

• Conducting and supporting information security classifications.
• Leading or participating in risk analyses and security assessments.
• Developing and following up on security protection assessments.
• Working on security protection planning.
• Providing specialist support within security protection and information security.
• Developing working methods, routines, and methods within the security area.
• Following up on incident management related to security protection and information security.
• Training and informing employees and project organizations.
• Collaborating with security functions, IT functions, and other specialists.
• Reviewing and holding dialogue with external suppliers from a security and independence perspective.
• Contributing to knowledge transfer and documentation.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you must meet the following requirements:

• You have an academic education of at least 180 credits in a relevant field, or other education combined with extensive relevant experience.
• You have knowledge and experience of the Swedish public administration structure and the roles of public actors.
• You have knowledge of the roles of authorities in peace, crisis, and war.
• You have knowledge of Swedish crisis and war legislation.
• You have experience of collaboration between public actors.
• You have at least 10 years of documented experience in information security, cyber security, security protection, regulations, standards, and general advice related to critical societal functions.
• You command Swedish fluently and professionally in both speech and writing.
• You have independently led and conducted at least two analyses, investigations, or studies as a project manager or project leader at a security-cleared authority or county administrative board. Each assignment must have covered at least 300 hours and been conducted during the last three years.
• You have knowledge of security clearance and associated administration, such as interviews, documentation, and follow-up.
• You have knowledge of the administration and establishment of security protection agreements.
• You have worked with the implementation, development, or maintenance of security protection and information security within a state authority.
• You have at least one assignment covering at least 1,600 hours where the work concerned security protection and information security according to modern security protection legislation.
• You have experience from at least one assignment within critical societal functions, such as infrastructure, transport, electricity supply, or equivalent.
• You have experience from at least one assignment where signal protection work, signal protection systems, or signal protection measures were included.
• You have the possibility to work full-time in Gothenburg with some possibility of remote work according to agreement.
• You have the possibility to undergo any security clearance.
• You have no assignments, commitments, or conflicts of interest that could affect your impartiality in the role.

Meritorious Requirements

It is particularly meritorious if you have experience of critical societal functions related to railways, such as infrastructure, transport, traffic control, signaling systems, signal protection, or other railway-related activities.

It is also meritorious if you have previously worked in larger national change programs, technical programs, or security-critical projects where several public and private actors needed to collaborate.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is confident, senior, and self-reliant. You need to be able to combine strategic understanding with practical delivery capability. The role requires high integrity, good analytical ability, and the ability to communicate complex security issues clearly.

You should be accustomed to working with requirements setting, review, documentation, and collaboration in environments where structure, confidentiality, and precision are crucial.
