At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of today's major societal challenges – migration. We have a total of approximately 6,000 employees here, and we have an unusually important job!

We are looking for a Housing Manager for the reception unit in Boden. We offer a dynamic environment characterized by daily meetings with people from different parts of the world and a solution-oriented approach to work.

What does a Housing Manager do?

As a Housing Manager, you are responsible for introducing individuals to the housing and the local community. You provide support, service, and information to residents and external stakeholders. As a Housing Manager, you handle situations that arise in the housing and identify and manage special needs that individuals may have.

You also manage and inspect the Swedish Migration Agency's asylum housing. You equip rooms and apartments to ensure they meet the required standards and report defects to the landlord/supplier. The role includes managing service and logistics related to the housing, as well as planning to ensure that housing spaces are used efficiently and effectively. You handle documentation and administration related to the housing and perform transport between housing and office premises. The work is physically demanding to some extent.

We are looking for someone with good teamwork skills, who is sensitive and resolves potential conflicts in a constructive manner. You are service-oriented and accommodating in your interactions with colleagues, applicants, and other stakeholders.

You are secure and stable even under stress or in pressured situations, maintain a realistic perspective, and focus on the right things. You thrive on variety and adapt easily to changing circumstances, adjusting your viewpoint and attitude as needed.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.

The successful candidate will have

  • A high school education or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Experience in work requiring good service and professional interaction
  • Good communication skills and expresses yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
  • Good ability to communicate in English
  • Good knowledge of the Office package
  • Class B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience working with people in vulnerable situations
  • Experience working in the public sector

Details

Employment type: Permanent with probationary period, and temporary assignments of up to 6 months.

Working hours: Scheduled hours, day, evening, and weekends.

Individual salary setting: Salary range 28,500–31,000 SEK/month, plus shift allowances.

Location: Boden

Start date: As agreed
