Are you a confident and experienced HR Generalist who thrives in a broad role with significant responsibility and many contact points? Do you have experience with employment law, occupational health and safety, and union collaboration within the manufacturing industry or other collective-agreement-based operations? Then this might be the right opportunity for you!
Together with our partner outside Boås, we are looking for an HR Generalist for a longer-term interim position at a well-established international manufacturing company. Here you will have a central and business-close HR role where you work broadly with everything from employment law, rehabilitation, and managerial support to occupational health and safety, collaboration, and personnel-related activities. The assignment is expected to run from summer 2026 to approximately March/April 2027.
About the Role
The role is broad and varied, with responsibility for both operational and administrative HR matters. You will become a key support function for the business's managers and work closely with production, the white-collar union, and trade union partners.
You will work in an organization with a strong culture and long tradition, where many employees have worked for the company for a long time. This requires clarity, integrity, and the ability to build trust, while also being able to stand firm on HR issues and drive processes forward in a professional manner.
The role involves significant responsibility within the occupational health and safety area, where HR owns and drives processes related to safety work, audits, and legal compliance. You will also be a key party in collaboration with Unionen and IF Metall.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support managers in employment law matters, rehabilitation, and personnel cases
- Work closely with the business on issues related to occupational health and safety and systematic work environment work
- Be responsible for and participate in collaboration meetings, MBL negotiations, and contact with trade union partners
- Act as secretary and driving force in the safety committee and gender equality work
- Provide support to managers on issues regarding absence, leadership, and employee cases
- Participate in recruitment processes and support managers as needed
- Work administratively in several different HR and reporting systems
- Ensure structure and documentation related to certificates, occupational health and safety, and audits
- Plan and coordinate personnel activities and internal initiatives
- Contribute to improvements and simplifications in HR-related processes and working methods
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least five years of experience in broad HR work
- Has experience with employment law, rehabilitation, and managerial support
- Has worked with unionized employees and union collaboration
- Has experience with MBL negotiations and employment law processes
- Has worked business-close within industry, production, or similar environments
- Is accustomed to working independently and driving HR processes forward
- Has good administrative skills and works structured in several different systems
- Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Is proficient in Excel and digital administration
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with IF Metall and the Technical Agreement
- Previous experience with occupational health and safety audits and legal compliance
- Worked in Agda or Notisum
- Experience from international or foreign-owned operations
- Previous experience in an HR Manager role or a broad HR Generalist role with significant mandate
To succeed in the role, we believe you are confident, clear, and professional in your approach. You need to be able to set boundaries, handle sensitive situations, and stand firm in HR's employer role even when issues become complex or challenging.
As a person, you are structured, non-hierarchical, and solution-oriented. You thrive in a business-close role where you can combine operational HR work with administration, collaboration, and occupational health and safety issues. At the same time, you have good social skills and can build trusting relationships with managers, employees, and union representatives.
Furthermore, we believe you appreciate an environment where established working methods and traditions exist, while also seeing the value in gradually improving and developing processes in a pragmatic and anchored way.
