The Youth Clinic in Örebro County has clinics in four locations: Örebro, Lindesberg, Karlskoga, and Hallsberg. Here, nurses, midwives, sign language interpreters, social workers, psychologists, and doctors work together in cross-professional collaboration. The overall goal of the youth clinics is to promote physical and mental health with a focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights among young people.

The work should be based on a psychosocial, psychological, and medical holistic view as well as a rights perspective where young people have the right to information, knowledge, support, and treatment. All young people should feel welcome, and a norm-critical approach should characterize the operations. Young people up to the age of 22 come to us. Working at the youth clinic means working in constant change and development regarding youth issues. Job Responsibilities

The Youth Clinic is a facility with high demand from the target group. This requires us to have flow and throughput to offer high accessibility. Your main area of work is to meet young people seeking care for mental illness and who are in various forms of developmental crises. You work with assessment and treatment interventions in the form of conversations at our clinics and at the digital clinic. The work is mainly conducted in short series of conversations of 5-10 sessions. The job responsibilities include actively participating in outward-facing work primarily for grade 8.

Contributing to the development and change work of the operations, as well as safeguarding the common youth clinic mandate, is a natural part of your work. We staff our four county division clinics jointly.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. Knowledge and experience of clinical treatment work, primarily short-term therapies with young people/young adults, as well as education in sexology, are meritorious. Sign language or another language is particularly useful in this position.

The work presupposes employees with engagement and great respect and interest in the living conditions of young people. In this position, it is important that you have good cooperation skills and are confident in yourself and your professional role. Through a humble and non-hierarchical approach, you create professional, trusting relationships with young people, colleagues, and other partners. You have the ability to independently plan, drive, and document your work. You should have a desire to work preventively and an interest in working with individual visits as well as groups. When the situation requires, you are open to changes and can step outside the frames or the intended plan. We would like our employees to reflect the diversity of society.
