Make a difference. Every day.

Regional Cancer Centre South (RCC South) is one of six regional cancer centres in Sweden, tasked with implementing the goals of the national cancer strategy. RCC South is a knowledge and development organization that, through healthcare-regional and national collaboration, aims to contribute to more person-centred, equitable, safe, and efficient cancer care. We are responsible, among other things, for supporting the development and implementation of standardised care pathways (SVF), care programmes, a national regimen library, and patient information via "My Care Plan Cancer".

A key part of our mandate is to support evidence-based operational development and follow-up based on quality data. As a knowledge organization, RCC South collaborates with the line organization and through cross-professional working groups. In cooperation with regional patient process leaders and with the patient's perspective in focus, continuous improvement work is conducted based on national knowledge support within the framework of the criteria describing RCC South's mandate.

As a register centre organization, RCC South supports the development and management of several national quality registers and is also responsible for the collection, coding, and reporting of cancer notifications from the regions in the Southern Healthcare Region. RCC South's organizational home is Region Skåne's Department of Health and Care Governance, but our mandate covers Region Skåne, Region Halland, Region Kronoberg, and Region Blekinge. RCC South is a multi-professional operation with 28 employees, including medical secretaries, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists, system scientists, communicators, and statisticians. The operation is coordinated by the Southern Regional Health Board, which is a political board for the regions of Blekinge, Southern Halland, Kronoberg, and Skåne.

DUTIES

We are now looking for two new colleagues who want to contribute to our operations with the goal of creating conditions for equitable and evidence-based cancer care. All work is based on a person-centred perspective.

You will work in national working groups to drive and support the development of RCC's national knowledge support. This includes project managing working groups, administering and coordinating complex processes, and ensuring high quality in both content and deliverables.

At the healthcare-regional level, you will work together with regional patient process leaders to implement and monitor compliance with the knowledge support. This includes responsibility for planning, conducting, and following up on quality and improvement projects, as well as arranging meetings and training.

You will also participate in and support healthcare-regional and national working groups responsible for driving development within RCC's various focus areas.

The work is independent but often takes place in collaboration with internal, healthcare-regional, and national multi-professional working groups. RCC's operations are constantly evolving and depend partly on mandates from the state and the healthcare region. Therefore, the content of the work may change over time, and you are expected to contribute to continuously developing the operation's internal work processes.

RCC South works for the entire Southern Healthcare Region and collaborates with Sweden's five other RCCs, meaning some travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a university/college degree in medicine, care, and health, or a corresponding educational area that the employer considers relevant for the position. You also have at least five years of experience working with a focus on health and care. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You must also have knowledge of the organization of health and care.

Merits for the position include experience with:

  • working with the development and/or implementation of regional or national knowledge support.
  • clinical cancer care
  • operational analysis and operational development
  • quality management and quality follow-up
  • process mapping and process development
  • coordinating and facilitating work in multi-professional working groups
  • working with data-driven follow-up and development of health and care
  • patient and next-of-kin collaboration
  • research

As a person, you are structured and solution-focused and thrive with varied tasks. The work also requires flexibility, quality awareness, and the ability to independently drive and follow up on completed work. The role requires good collaboration skills, communicative strength, and the ability to work independently with both administration, planning, and development in close dialogue with several different actors and professions. Responsiveness as well as good collaboration and communication skills are therefore a requirement.

In your application, we would like you to describe your competence, experience, and personal qualities, as well as what you can contribute to this position. Great importance is attached to good collaboration skills and personal suitability.

In this recruitment, we apply rolling selection. Welcome with your application today!
